Our IBESPORT courts yet again making news in a DAVIS CUP final.
Once more, IBESPORT clay courts have been chosen for the Davis Cup Play-offs, this time being the long-anticipated Final which took place in Seville and where Spain won the United States team.

After the finals of 2000, where Spain claimed the title after beating Australia in the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona Spain, and where our clay courts also set the scenes, the Spanish team has continually put its trust in IBESPORT courts for all of the play-offs performed on Spanish territory.

This final has broken all spectator records for an official tennis event with its total number reaching 27.200. The previous record dated all the way back to the Davis cup of 1954 in Sidney between Australia and the United States.

NOVEMBER 2004

Successful turnout for ITM players in the “XIII Open Viajes Fenicia”.
ITM players, Carla VENTICINQUE TORRES y Kaylen TORREBELLA CLARK fared quite well in the “XIII Open Viajes Fenicia”, which took place in the sports facilities, Polideportivo Príncipes de España in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
Carla VENTICINQUE TORRES claimed the winner´s title in the 18 and Under Category and Kaylen TORREBELLA CLARK was a finalist in the Under 10 Category.

OCTOBER 2.004

M^a Antonia VIVES-BARQUIEL wins the ITF International in Mijas.
ITM-sponsored player M^a Antonia VIVES-BARQUIEL took first place in the ITF International Tournament in Mijas, competing in the Junior Women´s Doubles Category, together with her Finnish partner, Ari Pohjalainen. They played in the Tennis Club Del Sol of Mijas (Malaga, Spain), beating the Belarusian pair formed by Tatiana Teterina and Ketsjaryna Zheltova 7-6, 7-6.

SEPTEMBER 2.004

Founding of ITM-PLAYA DE SANTA PONSA TENNIS CLUB and ITM-SOLLER TENNIS & PADDLE CLUB.
Two new Clubs have been officially established in Mallorca, under ITM´s Sponsorship and with the ongoing dedication to promote tennis in Spain. The ITM-PLAYA DE SANTA PONSA TENNIS CLUB will use the Santa Ponsa Installations endowed with eight clay courts, building premises with changing rooms, lounge and cafeteria. The ITM- SOLLER TENNIS & PADDLE CLUB will make its home in the Sports Complex of ITM in Sòller which features five clay courts, pool, complete sports facility and two paddle courts soon to be installed.

M^a Antonia VIVES-BARQUIEL claimed victory in the Baleares Championship - Adult Women´s Singles Category.
The ITM-sponsored player, M^a Antonia VIVES-BARQUIEL, was proclaimed winner of the Adult Women´s Singles Championship of Baleares after defeating Melanie Gomila in the final.

AUGUST 2.004

ITM is pronounced representative and exclusive distributor for all of Spain on behalf of PALMYRA LIMITED, worldwide leader in the manufacture of next- generation artificial sports turf.
ITM reached an agreement with the leading international manufacturer of synthetic grass and artificial sports turf , Palmyra Limited, designating ITM as their representative and exclusive distributor for Spain. PALMYRA has manufactured synthetic grass and artificial sports turf for more than 40 years. Their products can be found in the top sports facilities and installations of more than 30 countries, and they are fully approved by the main sports organizations for professional use.

M^a Antonia VIVES-BARQUIEL and Carla VENTICINQUE TORRES were both victorious in the IV ULTIMA HORA TROPHY.
ITM players, M^a Antonia VIVES-BARQUIEL in the Adult Women´s Singles, the Under 18 and the Adult Women´s Doubles Categories, and Carla VENTICINQUE TORRES in the Under 16 Category, both lay claim to victory in their respective categories of the IV ULTIMA HORA TROPHY, definitely one of the most prestigious, and highly participated-in tournaments of the Balearic Islands, which took place in the installations of the Club La Salle in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

JULY 2.004

ITM has, in collaboration with NOVA SPORTS USA, created the new “AIR CUSHION” surface for tennis courts.
ITM has successfully started marketing their AIR CUSHION surface for tennis courts, which consists of a six-millimeter thick pressed EPDM-rubber base acting as the “ultimate” shock absorber. It is followed by six layers of synthetic NOVACRYLIC surface. The final result? The highest quality surface attainable on the market today and it is available in a wide range of colors.
This system can be applied directly over cement , asphalt or old deteriorated porous concrete bases, thus, avoiding the typical high installation and labor costs that go along with the construction or repair of the old base and consequent re-asphalting.

MAY 2.004

ITM signs an agreement with NOVA SPORTS USA, the leading worldwide manufacturer of high performance acrylic sports surfaces, naming ITM their representative and exclusive distributor for Spain.
NOVA SPORTS USA has named ITM their representative and exclusive distributor for all of Spain. Their NOVACRYLIC product is the absolute worldwide leader in synthetic tennis court surface choices with more than 25,000 courts throughout the world. NOVACRYLIC courts are ITF approved for professional use.

The Sòller City Hall (Mallorca, Spain) grants ITM full management of the new Tennis Center and pool for the next 20 years.
ITM was awarded the public tender by the Sòller City Hall (Mallorca, Spain) to manage the sports center located in the exclusive area of Es Puig during the next 20 years. The installation boasts of five clay courts, pool, building premises with all of the required amenities and two new paddle courts coming soon.

APRIL 2.004

M^a Antonia VIVES-BARQUIEL claims victories in both the Baleares and the Mallorca Championships Under 18 Categories.
ITM-sponsored player, M^a Antonia VIVES-BARQUIEL, claimed the winning titles for both the Mallorca and the Baleares Championships in the Under 18 Categories. The Club de Tenis Can Simó (Mallorca, Spain) and the Club Tennis Ciutadella (Menorca, Spain) hosted the championships.

ITM to be the exclusive distributor for YONEX in the Balearic Islands.
ITM has reached an agreement with YONEX and AUDAX SPORT making them the exclusive distributors for the Balearic Islands of all YONEX products related to tennis, badminton and golf.
The agreement will include YONEX sponsorship of ITM players, tennis centers and coaches.

Kaylen TORREBELLA-CLARK winner of the “John Fowler Cup”.
ITM player Kaylen TORREBELLA-CLARK was the triumphant winner of the “John Fowler Cup”, which took place in the TAHOE Tennis Club Installations in Mallorca, Spain. He defeated his opponent, Toni Socías Colomar in the final of the Under 10 Category by 6-1, 6-4.

FEBRUARY 2.004

Carla VENTICINQUE TORRES triumphs in the Mallorca Championship, Under 14 Category.
Carla Venticinque Torres claims victory in the Mallorca Championship Under 14 Category which was played in the Club de Tennis Costa de Calviá, (Mallorca, Spain) facilities.

JANUARY 2.004

ITM arrives at agreement with IBESPORT for the worldwide marketing of their clay tennis courts. ITM will begin to market clay tennis courts for IBESPORT around the world.
IBESPORT courts have been used exclusively by the Spanish Davis Cup since the year 2000, the year in which Spain defeated Austrailia and claimed the Davis Cup victory in the Palau Sant Jordi of Barcelona.
IBESPORT courts have also been chosen for the eliminatory games of the FED CUP and numerous ATP Tournaments.
